I don’t read much sci/fi, but I can’t wait to give The Gate by D.L. Cross a try. I love the idea of a disgraced archaeologist who’s laughed at by his colleagues until everything he’s predicted proves true. There WERE ancient aliens who visited Earth. And no one believes him until they return: The book comes out today, and I already have it on my Kindle: Here’s the blurb:
He lost his job. He lost his girl. Now it’s all he can do not to lose his life.Landon Thorne is a disgraced archaeologist, a laughing stock in his field because of his unconventional beliefs – he’s an ancient astronaut theorist. No one takes him seriously. Until an alien armada targets Earth. Now Landon’s in high demand – by the US government and someone far more sinister. They race across two continents to the Gate of the Gods, the one place on Earth that might give humans an advantage over the aliens. But no one is prepared for what they’ll find. And not everyone will make it out alive. Fans of action, intrigue, and aliens will love The Gate, the first book in the Astral Conspiracy series. Pick up your copy now! |
Staci Troilo writes under a few different pen names for different genres. She’s writing The Gate as D.L. Cross.
I hope to start this one tomorrow. The blurb has me soooo intrigued. I know it’s sure to be a great read!

Me, too! I’m starting it tonight. I’m a slow reader, though. You’ll probably finish it before I do. We leave for Florida on Friday, so it might take me a while to get up a review.
