I love Mae Clair’s writing, and she’s trying something new this time. Can’t wait to read it. If you need a little humor, you might want to give it a try.
Hi, friends. I’m super excited! Instead of sharing a book review today, I’m sharing news of my own release! I had originally intended to do a cover reveal before publishing In Search of McDoogal, but then decided to go all in.
If you’re a regular follower of my blog, you already know McDoogal is a different type of story for me. Not only can you read it in ninety minutes or less, but it’s light-hearted in tone. No creatures or beasties, no dark or brooding mystery to solve. Just two guys on a day trip, trying to recover a…well…I’ll let the excerpt explain.
In the excerpt below, Brady Conrad has just arrived at the house of his friend, Declan Fitzgerald. These two have known each other since high school and are colleagues at an institute dedicated to marine and environmental research. After dragging Declan from bed with a rude…

I’m not getting any reading time with Nate here. So I haven’t gotten to read it yet. I’m really looking forward to it. Do your books come out soon? I hope. That poor alien is still locked behind glass.

Enjoy Nate. McDoogal will be a fun diversion after he leaves.
My whole series drops this summer. Mid-June, I think it starts. I’ll start talking more specifics soon. Thanks for asking!

I read this story a day or two ago, Judi, and I think it’s one of Mae’s best. A whole new “voice” for her, and a truly fun romp. I’m looking forward to more from what I hope will be a series of delightful tales. (One can’t be shivering from spooky stories ALL the time, right? 😀 ) McDoogal RULES! 😀 ❤

LOL! That’s true, Marcia. After writing Hode’s Hill, I needed that romp, too, LOL. I am so glad you enjoyed McDoogal as much as you did and like my other voice 🙂

I’m going to be ready for a fun romp. My grandson’s staying with us this week, and we’ve been binge watching True Detective series one. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve watched anything this creepy and disturbing.

You’re braver than I am, Judi. I can watch movies where crimes happen, but can’t watch true crime shows, Unless it involves a really old, historic mystery that happens to include a murder. Then I can sort of handle it. I such a wuss, LOL!
